Slow Sesame Salmon
When it comes to cooking protein, I need a recipe that I can remember easily. Actually, this is what I need for any dish!
If you’ve never tried salmon cooked low and slow, now is the time!
I came up with this recipe one evening many years ago and have made it hundreds of times since. It’s my go-to recipe when planning a salmon dinner.

- It only takes 30 minutes, which is perfect for preparing the rest of the meal and cleaning up

I use coconut aminos, but a good wheat-free tamari works great too. You may want to omit the added salt as tamari is already very salty.
Slow Sesame Salmon
An easy and healthy weeknight way of cooking salmon.

INGREDIENTS
- 2 fillets salmon
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 spring onion, sliced
- Sea salt, to taste
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 120°C.
- In a small bowl, combine the coconut aminos and sesame oil. Place the salmon in a roasting dish and pour over the mixture, ensuring each side is well coated.
- Sprinkle over sesame seeds, and a sparing use of salt (if you are using tamari in place of coconut aminos, you may not need salt).
- Place in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Serve topped with fresh spring onion and a squeeze of lime.
Notes
- You can use tamari in place of coconut aminos. If doing this, omit salt.
