Hydrating Green Smoothie
We’re talking hydration.
Hydration is either overrated or underrated by the health community, I can’t actually decide. Regardless, if you have been drinking a bit more alcohol than normal, eating more food, eating more salty food or eating less fruit and vegetables, you might find yourself feeling the effects of dehydration.
What are these effects? There are many, but here are some of the important ones not many seem to know…
- Disruptions to mood and cognitive functioning
- Dull or dry appearing skin
- Face puffiness and water retention… When you are dehydrated the body tries to conserve water by accumulating it in your face. Not cute.
I’ve created this smoothie recipe with special ingredients to keep me hydrated – a combination of the mineral rich vegetables with high water content, the magnesium in the avocado, the electrolytes in the coconut water and bio-fermented hydration elixir by The Beauty Chef.
Of course it’s important you drink water throughout the day too. This smoothie won’t take the place of that, but something to enjoy in these hot summer days and holiday times!
